FULL TIME REPORT - Brexit 2-2 Underdogs United

We returned to action at Astro Turf Moor after a 3 week break, and it's safe to say we were back with a bang. Michael Okafor opened the scoring early on, slotting the ball away after a mix up from a corner. It didn't take long for us to strike back though, with Sam Farrell bagging a quick fire brace. The first of his goals was courtesy of a sublime assist from Jayden Aaron, who came off the bench to scoop the ball over Patrick Rigby, allowing Farrell to head ontowan empty net. Chaos ensued, with end to end football. Kane Atkins slotted an open goal into the side netting, with a goal from Charles Okafor being ruled out for handball. Eventually, Underdogs leveled the scores, following a controversial decision where he hit it out of the hands of Stevenson, who himself had got down low to the right to save and gather a penalty from Patrick Rigby. It was a game for the goalies, with both of them bombarded with shots. Stevenson was forced into action countless times by Michael Okafor, and had to tip a free kick over the bar. Rigby got down well to his right to stop a rocket from Jayden Aaron in the corner, and having an all round solid game, although had he scored that penalty, Underdogs would have won. It was a match full of controversies, handballs, foul throws, goals and saves, and to top it all off, both Charles and Michael Okafor were booked for play acting or blatantly cheating during the game. We look to move to next week, as we wish to extend upon what was overall a positive performance from the lads.

FULL TIME REPORT - Brexit 3-3 Underdogs United

It was an entertaining game at Astro Turf Moor today, as the point were shared equally. The visitors took the lead early on after a mix up at the back, leading to Kaiden Brooks slotting it through the legs of Jack Stevenson to give United a 1-0 advantage. We soon struck back however, after Frankie Barnett netted his first of the campaign shortly after we conceded. It took us until the second half to take the lead of a game for the first time in 2 weeks, as Jayden Aaron also opened his account for the season, finishing off a lovely move with a delightful finish, following a gorgeous assist from Sam Farrell. Loan signing Daniel Foster then made it 3-1 to the lads, and we seemed to be cruising with half an hour left. Charles Okafor soon pulled one back for the visitors, after a Stevenson save rebounded back to him for a header, 3-2. Sloppiness on the ball throughout the match eventually came back to bite us, as Michael Okafor pounced on a loose ball, before countering all on his own, and slotting it past Stevenson to level the score. Just before time, Frankie Barnett picked up a booking, his 2nd card this season (1 red, 1 yellow), and the final whistle sounded. Brexit 3-3 Underdogs United.
